Homeless Ministry
Every first Sabbath of the month at 2:00 pm young adults serve by preparing meals at Sligo Church and handing those same meals to the homeless in D.C. We truly want to make a difference and help put an end to homelessness here in the D.C. We believe the greatest calling in life is to serve those in need.
Refugee Ministry via Homes Not Borders
Since 2017 the refugee support ministry helps refugee families from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Sudan by furnishing apartments, providing needed groceries, home supplies and back to school for children.
Our refugee ministry is now in done in partnership with Homes Not Borders, and meets every third Sunday of the month. For more information on how to get involved, click the link below!
